The collaboration between designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and Nickelodeon Consumer Products International (NCPI) for an summer/autumn 2010 men's and women's wear capsule collection, comprising T-shirts, tops, sweatshirts and leggings, is set to take South Park’s satirical themes to retailers around the world through leading outlets in key markets such as France, Italy, Germany, Russia, the UK and US. In addition, the range will be available at de Castelbajac’s dedicated boutiques in London, Paris and Ukraine with items priced from 45 Euros. “South Park resonates with young people who do not want to be part of the mainstream crowd, and these are just the type of fashion shoppers who appreciate Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s idiosyncratic design signature," commented Jean-Philippe Randisi, SVP + Managing Director, NCPI. "The JC/DC collaboration creates the perfect home for Stan, Kyle, Eric and Kenny and I can't wait to see Comedy Central's hit animation translate into a designer clothing line.” Created by comic geniuses Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning adult-oriented series features the misadventures of four foul-mouthed, trouble-making young boys in a small town nestled in the Colorado Rockies. Now in its 14th season, South Park continues to surprise even its most devoted fans each and every week, all around the world in 149 countries and more than 50 languages. Known for its unbelievably immediate and ruthless responses to world events, South Park's new episodes bring up-to-the-minute news and pop culture icons to the town of South Park, for social commentary and good old-fashioned ridicule. The lives of Kyle, Stan, Cartman and Kenny are filled with wild adventures of the supernatural, the extraordinary, and the insane. |
