BRANDORA Editorial Staff - May 2010

Preschool toy manufacturer, Martin Yaffe International, has brought Charles Spieler on board as its new Sales Director.

Charles brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new role at the Company. As Managing Director at Brite Power International, he developed and marketed a successful range of licensed toys and novelty items. Following the sale of Brite Power, Charles set up Peter Pan Products Ltd in 2007, an import/export licensed product agency.

The deal, which was inked at the end of April between Martin Yaffe International’s MD, Ronnie Yaffe, and Charles, also includes the acquisition of Peter Pan Products Ltd.

Speaking of the appointment, Ronnie Yaffe commented, “Charles joins the company at a very exciting time. Our licensed product portfolio continues to grow, which Charles will help to develop and take to market, while building and maintaining strong relationships with all of our retail partners.”

“The acquisition and appointment marks another milestone in the Company’s 23-year history in the toy industry.”

MYI has already been awarded several new licensing deals this year including ZingZillas, Timmy Time and Chuggington, not to mention the renewal of the Bob the Builder master toy deal.

Charles, who will also be an equity partner in the business, said of his move to the Rochdale-based firm, “I am very excited about the opportunities that lie ahead at Martin Yaffe International. The Company’s design innovation and product quality is second to none and working on evergreen brands like Bob and Thomas as well as exciting new properties, Chuggington and ZingZillas, is a very exciting prospect both for me and everyone else at MYI.”

Peter Pan Products will continue to be managed by Charles Spieler, while becoming a subsidiary of Martin Yaffe International.
