Chris Protheroe Promoted to Executive Vice President, CPLG

Chris Protheroe has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG), it was announced today by Katarina Dietrich, CEO, CPLG. Protheroe will continue to be based in London, where he previously served as Managing Director, CPLG Sport. In his new capacity, Protheroe will continue to manage the sports business in addition to overseeing all operational aspects of CPLG worldwide.

“As CPLG continues its worldwide expansion, it’s critical to have someone to handle the company’s day-to-day and long term operations,” said Dietrich. “Chris has been instrumental in establishing and growing our sports division, and with his many years of licensing experience, we know that this will carry over into his new position.”

Protheroe joined CPLG in 1999 as Head of Sport, Europe. He was responsible for the company’s worldwide licensing campaign for 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan™ and EURO 2000TM. He oversees the campaigns for England's two leading national sports bodies, The Football Association and the Rugby Football Union, as well as managing the global licensing and sponsorship programme for St Andrews Links, The Home of Golf.
