Twentieth Century Fox Television has implemented a strategic restructuring of its licensing division intended to focus on long-term brand building and immediate growth of its international businesses, it was announced today. Under the newly created banner “Fox Consumer Products,” Executive Vice President Robert Marick has appointed a team of senior executives charged with strategically exploiting the company’s vast array of blockbuster television and feature film properties through consumer products, retail partnerships and licensing initiatives.

“Fox boasts a world-class television and film line-up that includes everything from The Simpsons and Glee to some of the biggest film properties in history like Avatar and Ice Age. Fox properties have huge consumer appeal and with the new strategy in place we are confident that we can take the business to new levels,” said Marick. “With our portfolio of powerhouse brands and virtually unlimited opportunities to grow our business, we needed nothing less than the smartest and most strategic executives in place. I am thrilled with the team we have assembled and I am confident they will help us to take our newly titled Fox Consumer Products division to unparalleled success.”

The team Marick has established to carry out this new vision is comprised of savvy industry veterans and some already familiar with the Fox line-up. To head the Global Brand Management team, Marick has tapped Pam Kunick-Cohen as its new Senior Vice President. Kunick-Cohen, who comes to Fox from HIT Entertainment, is well-acquainted with the Fox library due to her previous position as a Senior Vice President for Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment where she was honored as one of the home entertainment industry’s “Women Elite” by Video Business Magazine. Her team is tasked to determine long-term franchise opportunities both domestically and globally.

In order to translate the line-up of television and film properties into compelling new products, a new Senior Vice President of Global Creative has been named – riCardo crespo. Crespo joins Fox from Mattel where he last served as Worldwide Executive Group Creative Director. Prior to Mattel, he held various positions in advertising, working for McCann Erickson and Saatchi & Saatchi, among others.

The newly designated Global Category Management team will include Gary Rosenfeld, Senior Vice President of New Media, who will continue his role overseeing Fox’s portfolio of video game projects and managing the division’s games development staff. Lora Cohn will serve as Vice President Toys & Social Expressions and Virginia King, Vice President Fashion & Home.

As Fox Consumer Products sets its sights on expanding sales across the globe, Marick has developed teams to cover four distinct regions: North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific & Latin America. This new approach is designed to strengthen operations in these regions and foster a deeper understanding of these individual marketplaces.

For the regional sales teams, Marick has appointed Kevin Sherwood as Vice President of North America Sales. Sherwood comes from the Fox Home Entertainment division where he spent the last five years as the Executive Director, Retail Marketing. To lead efforts in Asia Pacific & Latin America, Bob Bacon has been named Vice President. Bacon brings a wealth of business development and category management experience to this position, previously working with SEGA, Disney and Warner Brothers. These men join Carl Lumbard, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, EMEA.

Each of the new members of the Fox Consumer Products team will be in attendance at the upcoming International Licensing Expo June 8-10 in Las Vegas, NV.
