Sneak Peek At Inspirational Fashion Line For Popular Global Brand

Leading consumer products licensor Chorion unveils a new fashion collection for dedicated fashionistas starring Little Miss Sunshine from its iconic Mr. Men and Little Miss brand. Designs for the line, due to launch in spring 2011, will debut exclusively at the International Licensing Expo.

Drawing on the fun, humor and evergreen appeal of the classic character, the Little Miss Sunshine apparel and accessories collection will incorporate the very latest trends. Aimed primarily at teens and young adult women, initial product designs feature all-new graphic treatments with on-trend bodies, from trapeze shape tees to turn-up shorts to retro gym bags. Graphics range from fresh look vintage to large scale prints and ‘summer of love’ dreamy designs, with a color scheme of pastel pinks, turquoises and lemons pitched to reflect a spring/summer palette.

Chorion has developed the new collection working in close collaboration with Watermelon Europe, designers of iconic children’s apparel including Hello Kitty, Miffy and Forever Friends. The collection is aimed to launch in the U.S. market, supported with robust public relations and marketing programs, with likely expansion into additional territories such as the UK, France, Australia, and Japan, as Little Miss Sunshine is such a strong fashion icon around the world.

Tamra Knepfer, EVP, Brand Management and Marketing at Chorion, says: “Little Miss Sunshine is our star and has been incredibly successful across our product line, especially T-shirts and accessories. We are excited to have partnered with Watermelon Europe to put her in the spotlight with fresh, fashion-forward designs that bring Little Miss Sunshine’s iconic personality and humor to life in an inspired and trend-right collection.”

With over 100 million copies sold worldwide, Mr. Men and Little Miss books have become a publishing phenomenon. Truly a property everyone can relate to, the brand worth $100 million at retail worldwide has inspired a comprehensive consumer products program with over 280 licensees globally. Whether it is through the animated sketch comedy series – The Mr. Men Show — or its award winning Website, Mr. Men and Little Miss gets consumers laughing about the range of personalities we encounter in life.

Designs for the Little Miss Sunshine spring/summer 2011 collection can be seen exclusively at Chorion’s booth 3264 during the International Licensing Expo.
