Reilly lands in Spain with Edebé

BRANDORA Editorial Staff - July 2010

Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in '93, Reilly has become a key figure in the world of illustration. His highly individual style is at the forefront in using new technologies to push the boundaries of what can be achieved in graphics and illustration.

Reilly is part of the new breed of illustrators mixing the wild imagination of an artist with the obsessive skill of the Apple-Mac wizard. His work fuses graffiti, international high glamour and street chic with motifs of urban culture and gritty images of his home in East London. Combining dynamic rainbow swirls, variations on glossy lips and painstakingly observed come-hither eyes, then layering over tags, graffiti and found objects as well as his own cartoon characters: Reilly’s work is instantly recognizable in all its hypnotic variety.

Reilly has an impressive roster of international clients including: Jimmy Choo, Matthew Williamson, Chloé, LVMH, Tommy Hilfiger, Escada, Jonathan Kelsey, Gap, Topman, Rickard Shah, G.O.T.S, Old Navy, Diageo, V&A Museum, Chandelier Creative, Adobe, Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, Monarch, Penguin, Sony and Coca Cola.

Reilly’s vibrant artwork can now also be found on merchandise ranges. These include stationery and gifting products as well as posters and prints. The range is expanding as new licensees come on board, broadening the reach of this exciting artist!

“We only bet on represent art and design properties with a strong personality, original and different from the rest, and we believe that Reilly has all these values. Since the first moment we saw his artwork, we were absolutely impressed”, says David Recasens, Licensing Director at Edebé.

Edebé Audiovisual Licensing has just been appointed as Reilly’s Licensing agent for Spain and Portugal. Vision Licensing handles Reilly’s worldwide rights.
