Game on for NCP

Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products - August 2010

On the eve of major gaming event Gamescom in Cologne this month, Nickelodeon Consumer Products has signed off a raft of games deals for its properties with licensees 2K Play, THQ and Activision Publishing.

2K Play is following up Dora the Explorer’s Big Birthday Adventure, for Wii and Nintendo DS, with another chance for pre-school gamers to learn new skills. This time the focus is on maths and cookery with Dora's Cooking Club for Nintendo DS, which will launch from November in the UK, Benelux, Canada, France and Australia. The successful Dora Puppy title will launch in Spain in September.

Also launching from November in Canada, the UK, France, Benelux and Australia, 2K Play and NCP have developed the first-ever exercise video game specially designed for children. With Nickelodeon Fit for Wii, children stay physically active with favourite characters Dora the Explorer, Go, Diego. Go! Ni Hao, Kai-La and The Backyardigans in one video game.

THQ is publishing its The Last Airbender video game across Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Benelux, Spain, Australia and Italy throughout the summer, for Wii and Nintendo DS systems.

Based on the M Night Shyamalan live action movie, players can relive the movie’s epic adventures and experience cinema quality graphics and levels of play that extend the story beyond the film’s storyline.

Also from November, Activision Publishing is releasing the second game inspired by the live-action show iCarly for Wii and Nintendo DS in Canada, the UK, Benelux, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Germany and Australia.

iCarly 2: iJoin The Click! puts the player in the role of a new child at Ridgeway High, where they can socialise with all the characters from the show and meet up to make new iCarly webisodes.
