LIMA, the worldwide trade organisation for the licensing industry, is giving industry newcomers the opportunity to network with established licensing professionals at a special networking evening after BLE on Wednesday 29th September. The event is part of the Future LIMA Industry Professionals – flip – group, which was created several years ago by LIMA USA to encourage new people into the industry, increase educational and networking opportunities and act as a peer-to-peer support group. An informal grouping of like-minded professionals, flip boasts a worldwide membership, and arranges regular social activities and lively online networking forums. Attendees will have the opportunity to rub shoulders with established industry professionals, exchange contacts and ask questions about key issues. The event runs from 6-8pm at The Jam Tree – just a short walk from the show. There is no charge for the event, although there will be a cash bar. Kelvyn Gardner, LIMA’s UK Managing Director, says, It’s vitally important that we encourage new people into the industry and give them the support that they need to develop their careers. flip is not just for young executives but for anyone seeking to get inside the licensing industry whether they are new to the business or perhaps in a background role removed from day-to-day contact with licensing peers. We are hoping that this will be the first in a line of flip networking events in the UK, so do come along for some stimulating conversation and a few drinks!”“ Spaces for the event are limited, so exhibitors are asked to register online at the LIMA website. |
