The idea of this word game around sound distinction and phonological awareness is quite simple: Which word goes nicely with the letter on the dice? The included cards display words with one letter missing. Shuffle the cards and place the stack facedown on the table. Turn eight cards face up. The game manager or each player in turns throws the dice. Now all players start looking for a card that goes nicely with the letter on the dice.
There is always more than one solution for each word – at least two different vowels can fill the gap to give the word a reasonable meaning. The basis for this educational game is a professional concept with guaranteed learning effect. The game qualifies for daily use in schools and for therapies as well as a perfect gift for children aged 6 and up.
"Hasen-Hosen" trains children’s articulation, their handwriting and spelling and thus promotes phonological awareness and sound distinction as part of a diversified programme of language instruction at school or at home. |
"Hasen-Hosen" complements the "Kasse-Gasse" game which trains articulation of stop consonants (p,b,k,g,t,d).
