3Telescreen/m4e are introducing „Mia and me“ at Mipcom

m4e - September 2010

“It’s not fantasy. It’s another reality.” – this is just what the 12-year old girl Mia has to learn, when she opens the ancient book of myths that she inherited from her father and is hurled, thanks to a high-tech portal, into the wondrous world of unicorns, elves, pans and dragons in Centopia. She soon finds out that she must find the strength within herself to save a race of unicorns – and an entire world – all menaced by the evil Queen Panthea.

“Mia and me” is an outstanding mix of live action and animation, a fantastic fairy tale turned real, playing in the real world and the breath-taking and mysterious world of Centopia with its unicorns and elves, pans and dragons. Telescreen/m4e and co-producer Rainbow will be introducing this brand-new and original TV series (26 x 24’) to TV broadcasters at Mipcom in Cannes.

The series is targeted at girls, aged 6-10 years, who will find plenty to identify with: stunning visual effects, adventures, humour, action, elven warriors, the clever and beautiful Mia, brave Prince Mo, and of course the beautiful and mystical unicorns!

“Mia and me” is currently in production and slated for delivery in fall 2011, produced by Lucky Punch in co-production with Rainbow S.p.A., March Entertainment, m4e AG, Hahn Film, ZDF German Television, Rai Fiction and Rainbow Entertainment for the live action. Telescreen/m4e and Rainbow are sharing the worldwide distribution rights.

MipJunior and Mipcom will be the starting signal for licensing & merchandising on the property as well, while first negotiations with potential master toy partners are currently running.

At Mipcom, Telescreen will also present more highlights from it’s license portfolio. Among others are the brand-new girls comedy animation series “Ask Lara” (26 x 11’), the preschool series “Frog & Friends” (26 x 7’), the hilarious slapstick comedy of “Rudolf” (52 x 3’) that attracts a broad target group, the completely re-mastered classic TV series “Ox Tales” (52 x 26’ or 104 x 11’) and the funny clay characters of the “Plonsters” (52 x 3’).
