Bang on the Door would like to thank Kinnerton Australia on becoming the 100th signing - the champagne is on its way!

BRANDORA Editorial Staff - September 2010

Bang on the Door™ are delighted to announce that they have signed their 100th Contract since the re-launch of their business in 2008. With a number of deal memos looming Kinnerton Confectionery Australia pipped the others at the post to become the significant 100th signing, and the 8th licencee signed by Global Licensing, Bang on the Door’s Australia and New Zealand agent.

The agreement was reached following initial meetings between Bang on the Door, Global and Kinnerton Australia at the Licensing International Expo in Las Vegas in June of this year. Bang on the Door have had a long-standing relationship with Kinnerton, both in the UK and in Australia, so it was with pleasure that the company signed their 100th contract with them. Kinnerton aim to produce ‘seasonal and all year round’ confectionery and gift sets using Bang on the Door People brands and FABric Animals™. The Bang on the Door team have recently added Koala, Kangaroo, Kiwi and Platypus to the FABric Animals family lending creative support to their partners down-under.

Australian publisher, Ice Water Press (IWP), have also launched a range of FABric Animals™ story, sticker and activity books in 2010 and the reaction to the range has been fantastic. IWP are in the process of expanding the range which will include two new padded board books – “ABC Puppy Learns the Alphabet!” and “Shapes – Kitten Makes A Wish.” IWP used Bang on the Door’s design team to create the first five books ensuring that the styling and appeal was perfect.

Also in Australia, licensee Jasnor who are currently selling FABric Animals stationery, are working closely with Bang on the Door to design FABric Animals™ toys – a Learning Stackable Box Set has already been developed.

Bang on the Door Director Karen Duncan says, “We are delighted to be working with Kinnerton again at this exciting stage of development and growth for FABric Animals. We’ve been working with Kinnerton since 2002 and are over the moon to be bringing them on board with FABric Animals.”

Worldwide, FABric Animals stationery sales are gaining momentum, with licensees reporting sales of 1.2 million in UK, Brazil and Europe in the last quarter. The FABric Animals brand is now expanding on to other product ranges such as cards, bags and apparel.

Bang on the Door’s Managing Director, Karen Duncan, is very excited about the success of this new brand. “We see the market for FABric Animals™ crossing a number of age ranges. For example, where the IWP books work really well for younger kids, at the same time stationery appeals to the older consumer.”
