Nickelodeon Consumer Products International (NCPI), a division of Viacom Inc (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), has announced a brand new international partnership with Lea Furniture (La-Z-boy Greensboro Inc / American Drew & LEA Industries Division), the youth specialist in bedroom furniture. Following a successful partnership in the US, the deal marks the first time NCPI has extended the range of themed furniture, featuring some of Nickelodeon’s best known properties, outside of the US to the international market in a deal running until the end of 2012. The announcement was made today at Brand Licensing Europe by Leigh Anne Brodsky, President, Nickelodeon Consumer Products.

The NickelodeonRooms collection is made up of furniture lines designed to appeal to three age groups and transitions from young children to teenagers. All three furniture lines in the collection are now available in 21 key markets around the world across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Central and South America.

"We’re delighted to be working with Lea Furniture to make these products available to families across the globe,” commented Brodsky. “Customization and self-expression are essential ingredients in a child’s life. This innovative, stylish and modern collection allows kids to personalize their rooms with their favourite Nickelodeon characters and offers a variety of options so the pieces can be arranged to fit their own tastes and needs.”

The three collections in Nickelodeon Rooms, (Nick, TweenNick and TeenNick) will be available from furniture stores and dedicated home retailers as well as online and feature some of Nickelodeon’s most popular characters such as Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants, Go, Diego, Go! and iCarly. Nickelodeon’s signature green slime is also referenced on the furniture.
