TV Series To Start On Teletoon, Leading Kids´ French Channel In Early 2011, Giochi Preziosi Master Toy Partner

VIZ Media Europe (VME), has announced that it will represent “Jewelpet”, SANRIO’s and SEGA toys’ latest property in Europe’s French speaking territories. Jewelpet Season 1, a 52 episodes TV series will be broadcast early 2011 on French TV, TeleTOON (CANAL+ Group).
Giochi Preziosi has been appointed Master Toy Licensee for Europe and will release toys in Spring 2011.
VME is already in discussions on multiple categories with interested partners.
VME specializes in managing the development, marketing and distribution throughout Europe of Japanese manga (graphic novels) and animated entertainment.
Jewelpet is the new property from Sanrio developed with Sega Toys. The animation is created between Sanrio, Sega Toys and We’ve. It then became a licensing phenomenon in Japan with two TV series of 52 episodes. |
Jewelpet description:
The Jewelpets are 34 magical animals named after famous birthstones, minerals and jewels. They each have a different kind of sparkling jewel for their eyes, used for casting special magic called "Jewel Flash". According to the series, They were created by the Great Magicians long ago and live in a mystical place called Jewel Land, attending a school to learn more about magic and each of them were paired by their own human partners. The Jewelpet's Magic are divided into two sides: the normal magic and the forbidden dark magic. |
