Creata Ltd, organisers of the Licensing New Europe 2010 Show & Conference, have released details of five respected and influential figures from the New Europe region who will be speaking at the show. The LIMA-supported event - due be held in Zagreb, Croatia on November 11th to the 13th – follows on from last year’s hugely successful debut show and aims to promote the role of licensing in the New Europe region, which comprises Central, Eastern and South-eastern Europe, Russia and CIS. Speakers at the event will include Professor Linas Liubinskas who has 23 years of international strategic marketing and business consulting leadership experience. His impeccable business background has seen him serve as Director of Strategic Research and Retail Distribution for Household International; CRM Portfolio Risk Manager for GE Capital Card Services; Marketing Director for Renaissance Capital Consumer Finance in Moscow; Head of Strategic Marketing for Axon Group - an IT/SAP consulting company in England, and Chief Executive of the Strategy Council and the Consulting Consortium – two management consulting companies serving Eastern European and post-Soviet institutions. Professor Liubinskas has also used his extensive knowledge to serve as Foreign Economic Relations and Privatisation Adviser to the Prime Minister of Lithuania. Also speaking will be Christian Fortmann, European Trademark Attorney at the 24ip Law Group, who will be leading an advanced seminar for those embarking on licensing deals with partners across New Europe. He will examine legal and other technical considerations that are vital to achieving successful cross-border licensing in the region, as well as offering thoughts on conflict resolution, brand protection and best business practice. Dr Igor Matutinovic also features in the Licensing New Europe 2010 line-up. Dr Matutinovic is Managing Director of the GfK Group, one of the largest market research companies in the world that operates in more than 100 countries. He will provide a comprehensive overview of the most important markets in New Europe and will offer the type of specialist knowledge that industry, retailers, services companies and media representatives need to make informed market decisions. The list of speakers also includes Dr Velimir Srića, a professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb and a visiting professor at UCLA, Los Angeles. Dr Srića has served as the CEO of the Croatian Information Technology Institute, as well as occupying a senior post in the Croatian Government as State Secretary of Science. He has a wealth of knowledge in the field of international business and has penned a total of 36 books. Completing the line-up is Jovan Milenkovic from Belgrade-based Prava i Prevodi, the biggest rights agency in Eastern Europe, which is responsible for representing the world’s leading authors in the countries of the former Yugoslavia and was the first international copyright agency to represent American and Western European publishers and agencies in Eastern Europe. Prava i Prevodi is also the biggest distributor of foreign television titles across the former Yugoslavia.
