CPLG Germany was honoured with two awards at the prestigious LIMA Germany 2010 Awards, which were held on November 9th in Munich.
CPLG Germany won the Promotion of the Year award for all the activity surrounding the 60th anniversary of the Peanuts cartoon strip. This included Snoopy and Co appearing on postal packaging and on special promotional products from Müller Dairy. CPLG Germany also had great success in promoting Peanuts in conjunction with Ein Herz für Kinder (A Heart for Children), working with licensees and retailers alike to raise money for the charity. The success of the anniversary campaign has led to a 30% increase in the amount of licensees for the Peanuts brand across Germany. CPLG Germany also scooped the award for License of the Year for Hello Kitty, in conjunction with licensor Sanrio. This reflects the astonishing success of the brand over past twelve months. A large number of direct to retail deals have been signed for both Hello Kitty and Charmmy Kitty and this has seen the brand establish a significant presence in the German market. “We are delighted to have been recognised in this way by the German licensing industry,” says Joachim Knödler, Managing Director, CPLG Germany, “it is testament to just how hard the whole team has been working to promote both Peanuts and Hello Kitty.” |
