A quartet of top licensees has joined the licensing programme for Dinosaur King, part of the 4Kids Entertainment International portfolio. The new agreements have seen Z Press launch a Dinosaur King section in Kr@sh magazine in the Netherlands; J.M. Inacio in Portugal has come on board for a back to school (BTS) range that will include various bags, backpacks and trolleys, pencil cases, wallets and stationery sets; Class Investment in Poland is also launching a BTS range that will include books, bags, folders, wallets, rulers, pencil cases, pens, crayons, pencils, stationery sets, lunch boxes and water bottles; and Egmont launched a Dinosaur King magazine across Sweden, Finland and Norway.

Dinosaur King has proved to be hugely popular since first launching in 2007 - the animated series chronicles the adventures of Max, Rex and Zoe, known as the ‘D Team’, who search the world for Dinosaur cards that have the power to bring dinosaurs back to life. The biggest challenge for the three young heroes is to find all the dinosaur cards before the villainous Alpha Gang get their hands on them. The series is currently showing to big audiences in more than 20 countries and continues to expand with more new territories scheduled to launch later next year.

The new partners join an extensive licensing programme for the brand with Dinosaur King represented across more than 80 categories including toys, publishing, home entertainment, posters, bags, collectibles, apparel and sticker albums.

“These new partners add to an impressive list of Dinosaur King licensees across Europe,” said Sandra Vauthier-Cellier, Managing Director, 4Kids Entertainment International. “The brand is a great success and we will continue to build on this across all categories.”
