BRANDORA Editorial Staff - December 2010

BRB Internacional will attend the upcoming edition of the Nuremberg Toy Fair set for February with plenty of new licensing-related projects. The Spanish company will present the many agreements it has signed on the strength of the ample catalogue it manages, both vis-à-vis licenses it owns - Suckers, Bernard or such classics as David, The Gnome – as well as for those it manages as external agents in Spain and Portugal for Turner CN Enterprises, Target Entertainment, etc.

On the one hand, it will present the latest developments surrounding Suckers, a brand that has been growing exponentially in Europe following the series’ being broadcast in some ten European countries under the auspices of Disney XD, among them Spain, France (on France 3) and Suiza (on the SSR public channel), and then the upcoming launch on other channels with a global reach, such as Cartoon Network which will begin airing the series in Latin America in 2011. Giocci Preziosi has just signed an accord to launch in Italy stuffed animals inspired on the original designer dolls that live inside cars and give life to the 104 episodes of the series. And there is a prestigious list of agents for this license on a world level - 4 Kids (USA and UK) VIP (France), EuroLizenzen (Central Europe), Dall’Angelo (Italy), CPL (Latin America), Empire (Asia)...

As Agent for Turner CN Enterprises and Target Entertainment in Spain and Portugal

On the other hand, it will present the toy-related launches it has achieved with licenses belonging to Turner CN Enterprises in Spain and Portugal, which BRB has represented in this territory for several years now. The current launch campaign in Spain involves The PowerpuffGirls Z as a world model along with Simba Spain as Toy Master and the current positioning of the Hero 108 doll with the help of Giocci Preziosi throughout the Iberia peninsula. Also, BRB will present its plans to launch another properties from the Cartoon Network factory in 2011 - Ben 10 Ultimate, the third installment of the saga Bakugan, Generator Rex, etc. Likewise, as agent for Target Entertainment in Spain and Portugal, BRB will present its plans to launch the intellectual properties relating to the brand PlayStation LittleBigPlanet™, EyePet™, Invizimals™ and SingStar™ on the Iberian peninsula. For starters, at the beginning of 2011, Comansi will launch collectable figures inspired by the Invizimals video game – the first edition of which sold more than 400,000 copies in Europe and the second edition of which is currently being launched and receiving overwhelming acceptance.

BRB Internacional will be taking licenses to the Nuremberg Toy Fair that are properly owned and others than are managed. Bernard, the curious polar bear who travels around the world without a clue as to how things work (a series which is very popular amongst TV audiences in Spain, France, Germany and the UK, for example) joins other properties related with series set for broadcast in 2011, such as Kambu, the kind-hearted maildog, Zookaboo and its 104 animals hidden in a box or Dibo, The Gift Dragon.
