HIT Entertainment, one of the world’s leading independent children’s entertainment producers and rights owners, has today announced it has entered into a broadcast and licensing representation agreement with Super RTL for the new CG-animated series of Angelina Ballerina™: The Next Steps.

The German channel has acquired 80x13’ episodes of the new CG-animated series which is aimed at 4-7 year olds and will launch on the ‘Toggolino’ pre-school slot on Super RTL in Spring 2011.

Under the licensing representation agreement, Super RTL will manage the rights for Angelina Ballerina consumer products, home entertainment and publishing in the German market. The agent will also support the launch of Mattel’s new Angelina Ballerina toy product line in Autumn/Winter 2011 which will include play sets, figures, dolls and plush.

Alison Homewood, Executive Vice President Worldwide Television at HIT Entertainment said, “We are thrilled to be bringing Angelina Ballerina's compelling stories of dance, music and friendship to children across Germany in CGI. The new CG-animated series of Thomas & Friends and Bob the Builder, both HIT Entertainment brands, have proved very popular with Toggolino viewers so I’m sure the new series of Angelina Ballerina will also be a big hit.”

Jon Owen, Senior Vice President HIT Brands – Global said, “We’re delighted to have entered into a licensing representation agreement with Super RTL for the German market. Autumn/Winter 2011 will be a key, exciting time for Angelina as we see the Super RTL deals support Mattel’s much anticipated new consumer product launch.”
