HEUNEC - January 2011

Twenty years after the successful children’s book by Erich Kästner made its German market debut, «Animals United» (Die Konferenz der Tiere – original title) entered the silver screen in 3D. The animated feature film was released on 7 October 2010 and inspired more than 1 million cinema-goers throughout Germany.

Now the DVD release is scheduled for May 2011.

The animals have to leave their devastated homeland and set off in hope for a better life somewhere in Africa. But hotelier Mr. Smith had a large embankment dam built in the Okavango Delta and wastes all the water for his luxury hotel. And of all places, it is here that leading politicians meet for their international conference on environment protection. The animals decide to strike back and start a turbulent offensive full of hilarious tricks.

Thanks to HEUNEC , children may cuddle their favourite plush protagonist while watching the film and play out their favourite film scenes afterwards. Seven characters are already available:

In the movie, Billy the Meerkat shows that even the small are able to achieve something big. And Billy never goes without his best friend, the amicable lion Sokrates. Cow Elephant Angie always falls for flattery and is the unofficial mayoress of their animal community. The three companions are joined by the merry kangaroo Toby, chicken-hearted giraffe Gisela and Monkey Toto, the entertainer. Last but not least there is Smily, who is not only a Tasmanian devil but also a real friend.
