adidas today announces a groundbreaking collaboration bringing together three global icons: Marvel, Real Madrid CF and the All Blacks in a one-of-a-kind capsule collection that fuses sport, style and storytelling. Inspired by an epic comic book narrative where football, rugby and superheroes unite to “Defend Our Pitch,” this limited-edition drop celebrates the courage, teamwork and resilience shared by athletes and heroes alike.

Set across two legendary arenas - the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and the All Blacks’ Training Grounds - the Marvel comic plot follows both teams as they face an otherworldly threat: Ultron and his army of sentries, arriving through an interdimensional portal after a ROXXON satellite crashes to Earth. As chaos erupts across Madrid and New Zealand, the Avengers join forces with the players, standing shoulder to shoulder to protect their home turf.

“FIELD OF HEROES” COMIC PLOT

At Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Real Madrid players are in the midst of a heated match. Meanwhile, at the All Blacks training grounds in New Zealand, the All Blacks players hone their skills at Training Camp. Little do they know that the Earth is about to face a tremendous threat. In orbit, a rogue meteorite crashes into a new ROXXON satellite, hurtling the machine directly toward the field at the Bernabéu! As Real Madrid’s rivals flee in terror, the crashed satellite’s experimental teleportator opens a portal to the All Blacks training grounds—thrusting both teams into chaos as players are pulled through the portal, mixing the worlds of football and rugby! In a nearby spacecraft, the malevolent robot Ultron watches these events unfold, recognizing an opportunity to enhance his power. Ultron deploys his Ultron Sentries to retrieve the satellite.

The robots strike at both stadiums, attacking the athletes and attempting to secure the satellite. Both Real Madrid and the All Blacks rush into action, using their talents and teamwork to combat Ultron’s forces. The battle rages in and out of the portals with Real Madrid and All Blacks racing back and forth between their stadiums, holding back the nigh-unstoppable Ultron Sentries… until the Avengers arrive! Thor leads a team to Madrid, while Captain Marvel commands a squad in New Zealand. Superheroes team up with athletes, combining their powers and sports skills to repel the attack. Finally, the Avengers force the Ultron Sentries to retreat. Before the Avengers shut down the portals, the two teams head back to their respective grounds. The All Blacks, Real Madrid, and the Avengers salute one another as the portal closes…
