We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join our German Sales team in a home-based role. Reporting to the Sales Director of UK and Germany, you will deliver the planned sales and trading margin in your portfolio of accounts through developing and executing agreed brand plans, develop a deep understanding of retailer strategies, and work cross functionally to deliver customised plans with maximized results. You will work to ensure that the processes and regulations used in the business are continually updated and adhered to.

The Role:

  • Lead all TOMY efforts internally and externally with the accounts
  • Retain and develop your portfolio of clients ensuring you have an in-depth understanding of each client’s objectives
  • Achieve all targets set by the business for managed accounts, in terms of revenue growth by identifying opportunities to grow the business and enhance profitability
  • Be commercially aware of current trading position
  • Work closely with managed accounts, maintaining effective communication channels with all client stakeholders, including buying, merchandising, finance and senior management where appropriate
  • Ensure strategic account development plans for each client are continually updated with all current and relevant information, including mutual objectives and performance reviews
  • Liaise with the Marketing team to develop marketing initiatives to improve distribution, sales and merchandising of Company products
  • Prepare and maintain financial budgets to agreed expenditure levels
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts to ensure continuity as well as optimum stock availability
  • Identify special product opportunities

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous account management success, ideally in the toy or related industries
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills (in both English and German)
  • Be a tenacious self-starter who enjoys both opening new accounts and developing existing accounts
  • Have strong and demonstrable negotiation skills
  • Have the ability to listen to customers’ needs and quickly address and resolve issues
  • Manage time effectively and efficiently, prioritising and multi-tasking to achieve goals
  • Have a proven ability to build strong, professional relationships
  • Possess good organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Hold a clean driving licence for business travel

Location & Salary

  • This is a home-based role
  • The salary for the role is €60,000 - €65,000 depending on experience
